Newbie here. I have a 2007 Grande Punto 1.4 8v 5-door car with cruise control and suddenly Airbag warning indicator popped up in my dashboard. Recently i observed my horn is not working some times but it fixed automatically without doing anything.

Went to the mechanic and he said its coming from the steering wheel clock spring. He reset the warning light and said it will come again after some time and i have to change the whole steering wheel switch unit.

I searched ebay and other shops to buy this and found out i can buy only the clock spring/airbag squib unit without buying the whole unit itself. it seems like way more cheaper option for my issue.

my question is it okay to replace only the clock spring? will it resolve my issue. all the other switch sticks are working fine btw. (Lights, cruise and wiper)
