My 2004 Ducato 15 has a failed heater fan, the speed switch has been iffy for a while now, how do I remove the panel? I have removed the two torx screws at the bottom near the ashtray and also the ones near the windscreen in front of the lift up shelf ontop of the dash, but I can't seem to progress any further.

Hi,, i think you have to remove the radio and its cage, this should reveal more screws, IIRC. Will be looking at mine in the next day or two, will post back here if any different to the above.

The radio needs to be removed to get the heater control panel off - 2 screws behind the radio face.
You need the tools to release tangs of the radio through those 4 holes on 2 each side of the radio.
Attached are some diagrams from the 244 eLearn on how it is put together & to R/R.
Initially when I lost 2 & 3 speeds I thought it was the switch but traced it to bad connection - I had a lot of trouble with corrosion (rust) on the connector of the fan resister, I had to clean the terminals of the resistor & also the spade connectors on wiring the harness itself I could see where there was high resistance as the connector block had become very hot & melted.
The Part No. for a new Heater fan switch is 1305589080 if it hasn't been superseded. You can get the resistors on eBay.

The tools are just 2 u shaped rods with chamfers on the two ends to push the tangs aside to free the radio, you can get them on eBay or just make them yourself. The eLearn can be downloaded from the Forum or from File factory.
