I am a total petrolhead and have an odd hobby
.
Making proper exhausts for sportscars. It isn't my job it's just a mad hobby.
I was thinking of acquiring a FIAT 500 for myself (Red of course)
but having looked at the options for more sporty exhausts I was a bit disappointed by what I found. Only really expensive, mostly foreign systems seem to exist. There was nothing on eBay apart from a mega expensive (£700) but I have to say interesting looking system for the Abarth version.
Nothing for the 500 though.
I have owned ...I've lost count how many Fiats over the years and the one thing that they have is a proper sound, an exhaust that makes all the Italian noises. I find that the 500 is a bit quiet, would anybody else agree?
So I am considering developing a sporty exhaust for the 1.2 and 1.4 FIAT 500.
It would be straight-through as all classic Italian systems should be and would be a simple replacement for the standard single exit system. BUT it would be super shiny 304 grade stainless steel, and mandril bent to maximise on the power and to reduce back pressure.
It would be pretty much like my exhausts for MGs which go under the name of TT-exhausts.
Would anybody like to comment or be part of the prototyping exercise?
