Styling Punto Models

I have 03 plate Punto Active Sport
Saw 53 plate Punto and this had different front end rear lights etc

What are these different models called ? Mk 2 a or b??

Same car with some cosmetic and other updates but the engines and chassis is essentially all the same.

Mk2 was less canbus where as mk2b is a little more

Some electrical updates

Exterior changes

Thats pretty much it...

Im yet to see any chassis difference tbh...

Canbus - its a communication setup thats is very common cars now
Its basically a 12v Data line that allows all the modules to communicate via 2 wires vs lots of wires to all the different modules

mk2 had less Canbus stuff, as such the stereo for example ran on ignition on/off and a constant power

Now the mk2b and i think even 2003 mk2's had more of a canbus system
as a result the stereo again for example had only 1 power feeed (constant)
But the canbus wires (2 of them) told the stereo when the car was on and off
It could also make the stereo louder for example when going faster to help combat road noise and quiet when you went slower
it also allowed the car to leave it playing for upto 20mins before it'd auto shutdown

Not all electricals from the mk2 bolt straight into the mk2b
Dash clocks and Power steering are good examples
