My seats in my '07 Panda 4x4 are tired. The fabric has torn on the driver's seat base and the foam has collapsed in the base and the back. They are also very uncomfortable for anything more than about an hour's drive

I seem to recall that seats from a 500 will bolt straight in. Wifey used to have a Grande Punto sporting and the seats were excellent, so I'm thinking the seats from a 500 Abarth would be equally decent.

I'm handy with a spanner, so I don't mind changing runners etc. I'm also aware that I'll need the centre supoort bracket for the rear seats, as my seat back is single-pece and the Abarth is two-piece.

Any thoughts?

500s require modification but it’s an easy job…I don’t think they’re as comfortable as the panda ones, but that maybe just me…in my 2005 4x4 panda, it’s got cross seats in it…got the full seats and door cards from a specialist Fiat breaker in Bolton

You have to be careful when modifying seat

And average person will put over 4000Kg of force into the frame in say a motorway rear end

Only 3 out of the 4 bolt holes line up if you fit the 500 seats, it's not a hard job to make them fit, there are a couple of way to do this but even if you swap the affending rail over it will require some drilling, but not too complicated

People that have fitted the 500 seats including the arbarth have reported back that they aren't an improvement comfort wise

The later post 2012 are stronger as have an extra back brace they have also been fitted with modification but dont remember seeing any feedback on comfory, not all but alot have height adjustable,

This thread shows Alfa Romeo leather seats going into a Panda classic. Search the forum for "Alfa 156 seats" and "Alfa 147 seats".

How about these?
