Technical P0101, rpm, stop-start unavailable, Limp mode...

Sorry yes another P0101 thread

Car runs fine, but sit too long at idle, stopping at traffics lights and limp mode enables and the car sits revving at 1500rpm.

Changed the Map sensor but soon found a bunch of threads suggesting it's likely a different issue.

I replaced the EVAP but same issue, But I did see someone mention blocking off the EVAP using a bit of pipe. I tried this and funny enough it stopped the car from going into limp mode and everything is working as it should. I bought another new EVAP thinking the other is maybe faulty but same thing, Block it off and car runs fine.

I'm aware the EVAP goes to the Cannister at the back of the car, Is it likely this would be issue or would I just be just throwing more new parts at the car.

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi how old is your car? and whats the mileage ? it might be that the canister is full or clogged or there could be a blockage/kink in the pipe that runs to it somewhere! if push comes to shove you could always run with it blocked off!
