Hi i have u knocking from rear when checking springs i noticed there is no rubber mounts on the bottom,is this correct?thanks

Hi
Yes, rubber isolator ring is on top of spring only.

Rattles are normally damper top rubber bush, so worth checking there. It can be hard to see a problem, although sometimes it is really obvious (oval gap or serious cracking in the rubber).

Cheers thinking will change springs and shocks maybe front drop links, just been MOT'D nothing was picked up.

I see you have a 2WD 04 1.1

Shock is the most likely, you can reach behind the wheel and push and pull on the shock, while shinning a torch on its top rubber bush

Just change the part that's causing the fault

Taking a shotgun can get expensive if you miss a few times

Exhaust
Something loose in the wheel well
Shock
Broken axle
Loose bolt
Loose or missing bump stops
Loose rear seat

And so on

Some will bang occasionally
Some will rattle
Some will be from one side
Some will be only over rough ground

Put the handbrake on firmly

Rock the car backward and forwards gently using 1st and reverse

Take everything out of the boot and fold the rear seat and take it for a drive,
