no, but looking at it - it can roughly calculate it using time, mass and G's

and if i compare it on different cars using the same unit, then even if its out - its out by the same.

i just want more lights, readouts and buttons to stick on the dash to be honest

I still don't see how it can possibly work, because, without knowing the gear ratios, how will it know what the rev's are and how would it know what gear you are in, you could change from second to fourth or whatever.
