Sorry, just ask when things crop up, or how to prevent things cropping up?

Start by checking the three main known problem areas!
The main BATTERY earth strap!
the rear HATCH wiring!
AND the heater outlet/pipe on the thermostat!
first steps to ensuring reliability!

Thanks for the advise. I'll check those areas. The car is 4 years old and has only done 2800 miles but best be safe than sorry.

plus the build quality improved slightly on the later ones so heres hoping!

That's not actually good, why is it so low?

First owner was old lady so just used for trips to the shops. Had a yearly exorbitant trip to the Fiat stealers every year.

Don't see why?

One of the reasons the 1.2 is so economical is that you can drive it comfortably in 5th gear whilst keeping to a 30mph speed limit.

Maybe if you're living in Wales? ....

It's true though that low mileage cars often have more issues than you might expect; clutches in particular frequently wear prematurely.
