General Burble, popping on decel in 1st & 2nd

Lately I’ve had an issue with burble and popping when car decels in 1st and 2nd gear.

Initially I thought it was the exhaust. However, my muffler rusted through and fell off like 2 weeks ago and now from the flex pipe and back the exhaust has been replaced with an original style exhaust and the car is still popping and burbling.

Although it may be cool I don’t think the emissions inspection guy will agree.

Any ideas.

Idea is to take care of the car, learn, educate yourself, start doing regular maintenance.
That's a general idea about owning a car (what do you do with it).

Any maintenance history? Fluids, filters, timing, valve clearance, ignition system etc.?
It's April 2024. Are you able to record a sound or video and show us the problem?
