First registered in May 1986, this Classic Fiat Panda 1000CL was purchased new by a Mrs Kelly via Rockingham Cars, Northants for £3919 less a trade-in for her 1972 Ford Capri. Changed days indeed.
With minimal annual mileage Mrs Kelly had the car serviced every year by the dealership right up until 2009 when the Panda was SORNED due to ill health.
She subsequently moved to a nursing home in 2020.
On helping her with the move the family stumbled across the Panda in her garage - she’d kept hold of the car and hadn’t told them.
A family friend rescued the car and eventually recommissioned it a couple of years later - overhauled and resprayed Sky Blue.
Service records and old MOT certificates indicate a genuine mileage of 36,000 miles.
New battery May 2022.
I collected the car from Derby and drove 200 miles up the A1 without missing a beat.
Very tidy interior with pop-open rear windows.
A full major service and safety check was carried out by my local classic car specialist garage which included a Timing Belt & Water Pump change and fitting of replacement rear axle and associated welding repairs.
12 months MOT - expiring May 2025.
This is a wonderful little extremely rare, 1 x owner Panda with a huge number of admiring looks whenever out and about.
