not too sure abouttop speed but my 92 selecta did 85mph without much mechanical problems... the biggest problem was the noise from the wind and road etc... too load to have a conversation even shouting

Man, some nutters! :D Got my 4x4 up to 87mph once, and the car hated it! It wasnt that it couldnt have gone faster, but that the car was begging me to stop! they arnt designed to go too fast, especiallly the 965cc model! I think i'll stick to what my car is gd at, off roading! Very gd!
My mate who had a FIRE had his up to 110mph i think, but his head gasket blew after. So i reckomend ppl dont!

You need a 1.1 selecta (y), as mine can do 92mph with 2 people in it and a load of scrapyard bits (private airfield). The car also doesnt sound too bad when doing this speed, but only does about 20mpg :(

I dont think bragging about speeding on public roads is either clever or anything to shout about, and please 85 from a 126?
I know I know! I'm sorry! But I was only 18 at the time. Anyway, it was quite difficult to read the speedo because everything was vibrating so much!

ive had mine of the speedo just but never again (private land of course) :) its just not safe after 90 IMO. pandas do strange things after the needle passes 90...............

Yeah...

Go above 115 and you enter hyperspace.....

This is what happens if you go over 120mph in a Panda

many years ago i had a 903 cc panda fitted with with a wide bore exhaust.
and when fitted with its normal size wheels it went off the clock on the m42.
it used to sound like it was going to blow until stangely enough after it hit 100 it went quiet . although i dont speed now a days. was a lot younger then. i always used to grin when i saw the faces of golf gti mark 1 drivers when i passed then. the old mark 1 golf could only hit 111mph . although of couse i could never acelerate like the golf but once i got there it stayed. well untill the exhaust fell off and the fanbelt pully wheel sheared off. and the piston decided to depart from the car like it had always wanted to leave. i drove it off the motorway on 3 pistons and one hell of thick smoke inside. those were the days.

i can/could get my 903 to about 94mph untill she would hit a hill then she quickly loses speed
