A big difference between tactical and realistic.

Steam worked fine for me...
Loved the implication of it in games and the message and friends system worked great.
1.6 didn't have the fun factor for me.

You obviously weren't using it at launch lol. They had no steam friends, no in game chat. They had a complete lack of bandwidth for 6months because they grossly underfunded and underestimated the demand. And it used to crash for everyone randomly. Forums were full of "Steam Ticket ID timeout" errors pmsl. Only thing that worked perfectly from launch was the credit card billing system .

I agree I don't mind it nowadays as it works. And as you say in game "msn" like chat is great.
