Technical YABUT - Front disc / caliper converion questions

I have just ordered a set of EBC grooved vented discs and Green Stuff pads.

I have the EBC green stuff on the front at the moment and like the lack of dust they create, and I am a fashion victim and wanted the grooves for deglazing...as well as show lol ... £150 delivered, hopefully they will last a while ;)

The Bremo Max and Green stuff will move to the rear in the future (y)

//Aaron...i presume you meant 287 on the front?

Nope I meant 257, the Ignis has 257mm vented front 258mm solid rear with electronic brake distibution. One of the best standard car sets up I've tried, but then Suzuki pads are about £80 to replace, though Suzuki Sport pads are a bit cheaper, go figure that out, and I have seen some fancy Jap after market ones at £140

Its one of the few things that there is no replacement from Suzuki Sport, with the exception of the pads, no discs, no calliper changes even though they offer everything else from LSD's to Titanium exhausts so I guess they think they are pretty good as they are.

Righty...the discs and pads came today from larkspeed, very quick delivery and great service....plus cheapest I could find for the EBC stuff (y)

The pads are exactly the same as the old pads in the caliper (bar a warning cable that can be cut off), and the disc fits in the caliper just fine!! Result :D

Baring any different caliper to car mount, they will fit fine, and by eyeing it up it looks identical.

Theres another one too the list! (tbc)

Now, do i get them reconditioned, or fit them tomorrow??

Prob just fit them unless someone on my works estate can do it.

That was for the pair.

Basically, you send them off to them with your address and contact details. They phone you up check what you want, do it, then you pay and they post them back.

I would have done it if they were £60 like some of the other calipers, they are only single pot after all, but £110 seemed at bit to expensive at the moment.

So not too bad then. I've been quoted £85 ea to refurb and 'paint' PGT front calipers, £90 ea for the rears.
