i started the car for the first time in about a month and its running great i revved it abit and then saw some black smoke from the exhaust checked things out, too much oil....

fitted the spotlights and only one wroks as a fuse is blown would this be down to a fuse as hazzards dont work also or because its had a dodgy alarm fitted by previus owner....

kept car running for a while and went up to 90c in but 5-10 mins and then after a while went up to about 110c and the fan didnt kick in is this normal im worried lol.....

HELP!!!!!!!! i still love it though

Find out why the fan isn't kicking in first, the engine will always end up overheating if it can't cool itself

check your fan can spin as it did it on mine the fan motor had seized over the winter also check the radiator switch is working properly

Now I don't know if the Cinq's have the same battery tray as the Sei's but.
Behind the Battery there will be a wee tray with 4 Maxi Fuses. Check the Green 30A MaxiFuse as that wil be for your Fan.
You dont want this happening

I know that's an MPI Tank but check out the tennis ball sized hole.

Nither have I........ got NO warning either... sitting in traffic trying to get out of the EK Cruise & just heard a 'Pop' followed by **** loads of steam coming from under the bonnet.
Thankfully Ming living nearby came out with a spare tank... only thing is it was for an 899Cento, so we wedged it inplace.

1 - Black smoke, quite normal if the car hasn't run for a while, but should clear. How much is too much oil? If it's way over filled you'll have drain some out via sump plug.

2 - Fuse blown, disconnect spotlight wiring and re-load fuse, check everything is working as before.

3 - Cooling fan not switching on...as above..action 2.

Just a wee bit by the top mounts.
Don't care what happens to it now as I don't own it anymore.
Think the guy's transfered his private plate onto my old Sei as went to check on the DVLA's website few days ago & it came back with "No Details Found".

No no the guy who bought it was going to use it as an evryday car.
Then get his Schumacher Sei up & running.
But he did tell me he was going to put his private plate on it, so I'm guessing that's what he's done.
