Hi My starter motor refused to work on two frosty mornings so I removed it and it worked fine on the bench.
The wire from the ignition switch to the selenoid has no power when key is turned.
I am wondering if a wire from the switch to the seleniod will do the job.
Any help will be very helpful.

Sorry, most definitely not a problem with the immobiliser.
Could be the ignition switch, or wiring which routes via the engine bay fusebox.
Applicable Fiat eLearn diagram E5010 attached.
I have also attached colour code translation sheet, and a recent diagram of mine showing the ignition switch in a different way. In this latter diagram there is connection across the switch, where there is a black square associated with that switch position..

Thank you very much I will try the wire from the fusebox first. It's strange that both times it happened it was below freezing.
