Hello

My wipers aren't working. I have fitted a new motor and the mechanism is free moving. The fuse is in tact.

I've looked on other forums but can't get an answer that fixes the problem. I have a good negative on pin 1 on the motor plug pin 2 is live with ignition 3&4 are 0v and pin 5 is permanent live.

The motor has micro clicks like a small relay when the stalk is operated.

Hello,

That's the diagram, all 2009 x250 engines except the 2.0 l Ford engine.

N015 beeing the wiper motor, N020 the wiper liquid pump, C010 the ground point, M001 the body computer and B002 the fusebox by the driver's knee. Fuses F43 and relay T12 seem to be involved. The BCM reads the state of the wipers lever, so no direct contact between the lever and the motor. All goes via CAN. If so, there should be a possibility to make a test in MES. (EDIT: I couldn't find one).

Apparently there was a technical note released by FIAT saying that the ground cable can be faulty (probably the black one on the pin 1 of the motor). Try adding another ground cable from the battery to confirm / eliminate the cause.

I'd also check the contacts of the fuse and relay.

Are you 100% sure the new motor is OK?

Hi and thank you for the reply.

The eath tested good on the multi meter. The motor I have to assume is good as its brand new. I have no way of testing it unless I can be given a test procedure.

I wouldn't believe a multimeter with SEVEL earth cables :D Seriously, it won't take a lot of time to make a temporary earth cable to check. The technical note was not released without cause.
