Though I’d combine two topics in one, from two threads of mine.

Winteridge

Drainage:

Single pull under for grey. Keep taps open to drain fresh water at the same time.

Viewed from back. Check fresh water is empty from tank under right bunk. Remove red screw bung to check.

Drain water heater. Remove bottom drawer under cooker to gain access to yellow drain lever.

As far as I know, the above should ensure full drainage.

Charging - Electric Hook Up

Leisure battery will charge and should charge Cab battery at the same time. If not it’s a dealers mod to connect both batteries. Mines booked in.

Hope this was useful if you have the same van as me. Cheers.

Hello,

No idea what kind of leisure habitation battery you have, but different battery types have different limitations and maintenance procedures.

Li-ions cannot be charged in below zero temperatures as far as I remember, for longer storage periods should be charged between 40-80% etc.

So referring to the owners' manual if one kept the original setup is essential, especially if still under warranty. For upgraded battery setups reffering to the battery owners' manual is essential and MAY require some modification within the installation if such was not done during the upgrade.

Not a tech guy. However, the dealer saying that the mod should have been incorporated at build, that why they’re doing it under warranty.

I'd also include an information about the tire pressure or even putting the van on appropriate stands using the original jacking poits. And as for every other car, appying a special product or silicone spray on all rubber seals (in entrance and service doors, side and roof windows).

I'd also block exhausts (from the engine and parking heating) with a cork or rubber plug to prevent condensation getting inside the systems from the back. Same applies for the parking heating air intake. It is of course mandatory to take them out before starting them on.

Check what kind of leisure habitation battery you have. Classic lead-acid, AGM, gel, li-ion, lifepo4, etc. Perhaps it was not incorporated at build for some reason.

The Dealer carrying out the mod is good enough for me. Thanks for the rest of your info.

Hope the Rimor dealer knows better than FIAT ones usually do ;)

It doesn't say which lithium technology is used, but this would be enough for me not to want it to be charged all winter long.

Check for the battery warranty, it could be much shorter than the warranty for the whole van.

Thanks. I’ll ask when it’s done.

As for the tires, I've got the Continental VanContact Camper tires (marked CP at the end on the size and with a motorhome symbol) and although usual driving pressure is 4,5 bars as far as I remember, there is a information in the documentation and on the tire wall that it is permitted to increase the pressure to 5,5 bars for 'storage' periods. Perhaps the same rule applies on other camper / motorhomes dedicated tires.
