Technical Window regulator recommendations?

Yeah I saw the ebay one for sale and couldn't decide on whether to take the gamble. I'm smarting a bit because the window got stuck open, several hours from home.

Fortunately a kind local mechanic took the door card off and jammed it up for me before I had to set off for home. But I don't really want this to happen again in the near future!

its possible to buy just the plastic clip from your local Fiat supply shop. which is usually the item that breaks and so stops the window from moving. its fairly easy to fit but i had so much trouble trying to untangle the control wires that i gave up and purchased a complete regulator from ebay. the guide on this site is very useful and worth trying yourself!

Just finished with this. To be honest I don't know if I'd want to try and get to the motor screws without removing the assembly? I have fat hands! Also, the motors I got given (ordered 2 in the end) I think had 4 mounting screws, whereas my OEM one only had three (unless... it wasn't oem).

Fiddly job and I hate messing with plastic trim for fear of breaking it. But I got there in the end and it's nice to have the window not taped shut.

One thing I would say is the aftermarket one I got is pretty wheezy, but it does work.

Er one thing I've noticed after a motorway trip... I'm not convinced the window is going fully up. Theres a bit of wind noise (although no visible gap).

Is there any adjustment you're supposed to make or is my aftermarket regulator just a bit too short? When I tested it the clip did seem to go all the way up and down

Are you sure the internal weatherstrip (on the door card) is fully seated?
Wind whistles through the handle and exits here if not pushed down correctly.
I think this was it! Thanks. It looked right but when I pushed it, it went in another half inch. I haven't got back up to high speed yet but at 50 it seemed quieter already
