General wind noise from passenger window

hi

I know there is a fault with wind noise from the front passenger window and the seal needs changing.

can i ask which seal is it the inner door seal around the window or the main seal around the entire door?

pictures would help.

You're having the seal replaced or think one of them needs replacing?

car due a service so getting it done under warranty but just wanted to know what seal it was as i dont want them taking the whole door apart to do it.

they normally make a right bodge of things whe the door cards come off

Could be either seal both could leak wind noise.

Well there are two things to seal. Door against frame, and window against door. Means 2 seals and therfore 2 places to leak noise. As per most other cars.

Not seen it before - and mine doesn't do it.

Ours did this and we had it replaced under warranty. I believe ours was the window seal. They fixed it and put it together fine. We are lucky in the NE we seem to have a really decent dealer.

How did you find the fault of the window seal? What's the appearance before it replaced?

My Wife and I both have Bravo's, and hers makes much more wind noise than mine.
I put it down to the fact that when she bought hers, we spec'd the Window Tint, as an extra. When it arrived, she hated it, so I had to pay another grand to get the windows swapped over. I assumed that when they put everything back together, somehow, it didn't all fit together properly.............. (naive??.....possibly !!)
I may now get our 'local' dealer to check them out as they are most definately noisier than mine.

I noticed it was noisy at any speed above around 40 I think it was (and the drivers side was noticeably quieter). I had a good look around and couldnt see anything, so took it to the dealers. They told me what it was and ordered the part. About a week later I took it back in and they fitted it. Not much help I know!
