Styling Which yellow is this?

Thanks, I have looked on there and other sites found on the forum. The closest seems to be Giallo Agip 247 but there aren't any details on the year and model etc to confirm. It's less peachy than 278 and less mustard than 208.
It could of course be non-standard but given the cars detailed restoration I'm thinking it's probably an original colour.

I've decided to paint mine yellow and love the colour on the car in this vid.

There's a lot to like on that video!:D
Sensible choice...you have my vote.(y)
It's not 208 but Positano Yellow is a much better colour than it appears on the online colour charts...they are really inaccurate.
This is a reasonably good rendition of Positano on my brother's car decades ago. Definitely more like the modern 500 mustardy yellow. That one is nearer to Broom Yellow.

Hi all,

Happy new year!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but now that I've decided on a yellow - 247 Giallo Agip I'm struggling to find somewhere to mix it for me. I've contacted a few suppliers and the only colour they can find is a later 1973 onwards Giallo scolarobus which from what I can tell isn't the same colour.

Can anyone recommend a classic paint specialist? I'm looking for cellulose based as my partner is planning to spray it in our garage so no 2k allowed.

Thanks!

Nice colour but don't think it's the one I'm looking for (Agip 247)

the colour isn't/wasn't a std colour on fiat cars from a showroom.. but can be ordered (or could) from the info I have..

It is known in the US as School Bus Yellow.. also used on fiat municipal vehicles

Original mixing formulas are hard to come by, I will check the swatches etc that I have..
Many paint mixers will mix a colour from a panel etc.. it all depends if you want the original colour when new or a 40-50 year old faded version of the colour if they mix it from a sample panel..

I will see if I can get it mixed, I can probably get a small quantity for test purposes and supply what you need...

let me know if you are interested...

Check out page 58 of my thread "canterbury 695" I've painted my wheel arches a fiat yellow. ....
