Hi all. I want to fit a rear view mirror in my Rimor Horus66 on Ducato 2024. Ive seen these advertised however, they say check the manufacturer number pre buy. As there’s never been a rear view mirror fitted, I’m not sure that I’ll buy the right part. Any help appreciated. Cheers.

I'm afraid this can be far more complicated than most people realise. When I was parked my mirror was smashed by a passing council truck - they admitted liability and their insurer sent a fitter out to my home with a new mirror. But first I had to describe my mirror over the phone to someone who told me there were over 60 mirrors listed for the Citroen Relay!!!! (X2/50 with a Citroen Badge) Only after emailing him photographs of it from different angles was he able to send the right one.

I assume you mean the interior mirror? Has the windscreen got the hexagonal 'bolt' head attached?
Sorry, yes should have said interior and yes it’s the hexagonal fitting. Thanks.

This is the internal fitting on the mirror. Mine has three numbers embossed on it. 045617, 015617 and 025617.
An Amazon search of 045617 gave this result.

For future reference on external mirrors on the x250:

three lengths: standard arm (7cm?) / middle arm 16 cm / long arm 20 cm)
manual, electric, electric + heated,
non foldable / foldable,
with / without the external temperature sensor (driver's side only)
no antennae / 2 types of anntennaes (driver's side only),
RHD / LHD (antennae + external temperature sensor location),
and in the newer models the proximity sensor (or how do you call it in English).

So yes, if you multiply the possible combinations, it can give dozens of models :D

Re rear view mirror (i.e. the one within the cabin, on the windscreen, with the Fiat 6-sided "button" / "trilobe" mount): my van does not have windows in the rear doors and didn't even come with a mirror fitted, so I installed a rearview dashcam in lieu of a mirror, with the camera mounted on the plastic fitting above rear door's license plate. I can recommend the Pormido PR998 (or its current equivalent). I bought a third-party aftermarket mirror mount and attached the dashcam "mirror" display to that. Works great, better than an actual mirror in that you don't get blocked by stuff in the van. Con is that you have to keep the rear camera lens clean ;-)
