Technical Where can i find reverse switch?

I have been quoted by dealership for 150eur just for the fix. So i bought the original switch and now i'm trying to figure out how and where to install it anyone has any idea where can i find it? I've found some info about GP's location, yet i can't find it on the Idea when using that guide. Anyone has changed theirs?

Hi the reverse switch on a 1.4 petrol is on the front of the gearbox under the battery it screws into the gear selector.On my sons car the problem turned out to be the conector and I had to get a connector form a punto at our local scrap yard.

Thanks Did you have to remove the battery to get to it? Mine is 1.9 diesel, so i hope it's the same

I am trying to find it on a Dualogic. Is the original poster referring to a manual?

From what I can see after spending two hours looking around is that on a dualogic the switch is completely hidden under the Dualogic acutators that sit on top of the gearbox. I can just see the cable and part of the connector but it's almost bang up against the engine mount. It is impossible to even remove the connector in situ.

I suspect that it needs the gearbox lowering to enable access to the switch.:bang: What I thought would be simple is not - it seems quite a job.
