Hi Folks

I have an oil drip from behind the sump (see picture) coming from bottom of flywheel cover. Pretty slow, but what would be causing this anyone?

Thanks

Tim

Tim, that's most likely something I was referring to the other day when I was rebuilding an engine. Main suspect is either or a combination of rear crankshaft oil seal and gasket//O-ring between that bearing carrier and the crankcase.
Also a lesser possibility that the gearbox front seal is leaking.
It could be tracking down from another, more accessible place but less likely .:(

Morning Tim;
Oil dripping from that hole in the engine-to-gearbox cover pan usually means a leak from either the gear-box input-shaft seal or from the engine rear crank-shaft seal (remember the built-in 'spinner' described on an earlier thread?).
