Hi everyone haven't been on here in a while but was just wondering what you coolant you would recommend me getting for my car as i dont have any idea what ones best to get ?

Doesn't really matter. FIAT recommend Paraflu. You could probably count the number here using it on the fingers of one hand ( cue busload of people using Paraflu)
You have two options. Two year stuff generally a blue colour and five year long life stuff generally a red/orange type. Either is acceptable.
Make sure the concentration is correct. If buying concentrate mix 50:50 with deionised or distilled water. To save the hassle you can buy premixed.
When topping off use the same concentration or you will dilute the coolant.
It's not just about freeze protection there is an anti corrosion package in there as well which is just as important.
I've used Holts, Bardahl and and and.............

Is the pre mixed stuff any good ? As been told concentrate is better :s

It's fine. Just check the label carefully for the level of frost protection. There are some 'watery' premixes out there pretending to be the same strength as 50:50.
I use 50:50 from habit. In reality you could probably get away with 30:70 depending on where you are.
Before getting the premix compare the frost protection with the label of a bottle of concentrate at 50:50.

The question is - are you prepared to flush the coolant out
Or just add any of the same colour in?

My advise is this
if you have cash and dont feel threatened by car work
Flush it and replace with a strong minx
I tend to put 1L in neat, and then add rest as a 50/50 mix :)

if your low on coolant (worry a little), just add something of the same colour type
Really coolants shouldnt be mixed... at all

Ziggy

I was planning on flushing it as the current coolant doesnt look like theres any anti freeze init either so i didnt know what litre of coolant to get ? Was thinking a 2 litre

Two litres of concentrate will make four litres of 50:50 mix which is enough to change out and have some to spare for topping up provided you don't lose too much when bleeding the air out.
Flushing is a good idea if the old stuff coming out has lots of sediment and gunge in it.
