my rear tyres i think are touching the outter edge of the arch, it happened on the rear left tyre.
they have probably fitted too wide spacers on the back then

Had chat with Tyremen today and they said bring them in, they also said that they couldn't do anything as i didn't bring them straight back and also because they said it is rubbing do you still want them (they actually said that "oh it won't be a problem once it's rubbed through the plastic lining it will be fine"
Also they neglected to tell me that the width of the wheels are a j7 unlike my old standard wheels which were j6's. If i do put spacers on the front will they touch the arch if i don't roll them back?

Nope 5mm spacers will be fine, my wheels are 7J and I have no issues.

oright cool, well i'm gunna sell my Punto now. Gunna see if i can get £1200 for it with everthing left on other then the 17's. I'm gunna save abit of dosh and buy a Punto HGT i think, the fuel economy is lame but it's bloody fast and heard the suspension is really sporty on them. 
Seen them for about £2000 in good condition.

oright cool, well i'm gunna sell my Punto now. Gunna see if i can get £1200 for it with everthing left on other then the 17's. I'm gunna save abit of dosh and buy a Punto HGT i think, the fuel economy is lame but it's bloody fast and heard the suspension is really sporty on them.

They're not that fast. I would say they're a warm hatch. Plus for the amount of fuel they drink you would expect them to be faster.

The MPG is the scary part for me i mean i can afford the car and the insurance and even the stupidly expensive tax. So does it have Sparco seats? because i heard somewere on forum about it i think. Thing is Sportings are about the same price and i can't deal with fixing all the dents on my car and then having it resprayed because that would cost me a minimum of £700 plus after that i still have to steering issues and i still don't know what they are for sure.

It has the same seats as a Sporting, it will only have Sparco seats if the previous owner fitted them themselves.
About 45mpg.

Hmmm not to sure on deisels to be honest, just gunna have an Autotrader search and check prices

They're rarer than the other Mk2 models but it's worth waiting for a good one.
and heard the suspension is really sporty on them.
be no diffrent than a sporting
better to use the extra petrol money and get gsr kit, full supersprint exhaust with a sports cat, and gsr/red dot remap, on a sporting and still get 45mpg doing 90mph

Oki i'm keeping my Sporting now and my bro is going to show me how to fix my dents on my bonnet and the lock problem. Can i have someone tyre specs who has 17's on please?
I run 205/40/17 tyres and a wheel offset of ET32.

You see i've checked my old tyres against my new ones and the tyre is wider then the old one is this correct? wide as in circumferance.
