West Coast Rally - Eglington Park, Irvine - 14th July 2013

Hi folk, sorry, not going to make it on Sunday, gran has been rushed to hospital, while i'm on holiday, so long story short, i'm going to be car-less, in Oban.

Hope its a gorgeous day, which it looks like it will be, and look forwards to seeing the pictures.

I will be attending this one....about time i unveiled the new Stilo..abiet still standardish...new suspension not going to be here in time to get it lowered

Harper....you want me to bring cool box, with fresh ice packs?

missed a great day fella.....hope it was worth it to spend time with the dreaded inlaws....lol

Haaa,.....well had to be done! My Grannie inlaw's Birthday so most of inlaws came to ours for party. My car isn't ready yet anyway, trying to give it a complete overhaul to get it to show car status. Slowly Getting there, also got some Abarth side skirts at a bargain from breakerage last week. So now i've got sum more time till next event :) when's the next big one in Scotland?

What a cracking day!

Thanks to Scoop for organising and liasing with the organisers of the event, plus to everyone who came along today.

Cracking weather and definately a show we'll be back at next year.

There's now a gallery ready for y'all to upload to :)

Not too sure yet, maybe knockhill at the start of september dependant on numbers, but will start to find out other great days out :)

Gotta say though, what a bloody good day, I'm all burnt on my arms lol. Was totally worth it though.

oh the poor wee thing. There was factor 30 in the gazebo too which could have been used to protect him. Note for anyone else turning up to a show on a hot day when I'm there - there will be sunscreen in the gazebo and it's there for any member of FS and their friends/family to use. Don't bother asking just seek it out and help yourself :)

Thanks scoop_987 for organising today and I'll add my comments to those already made about it being a great day out. It really is a rally for everyone with lots of vehicles for the petrol heads but also other attractions for those not so interested in cars. Take a look at pictures in the gallery for a snapshot of what was there and then add some. I was amazed by the park alone which made me wish to be a kid again.

As for the huge Ford truck that was there... If that had been one of the vehicles causing mayhem on the drive back north earlier I'd definitely be having nightmares along the lines of Duel tonight

As scoop says it might be Knockhill or may also be Crail - there's nothing confirmed yet. hopefully there'll be a few smaller meets such as the bbq at Balmedie beach on the 3rd August if you're willing to make the journey for smaller numbers. The thread's not up-to-date but at last count there should be 6 or 7 of us for that

There are other plans afoot for your area next year though so keep an idea on the events calendar :)

As everyone else has said, a BIG THANKS must go to Lewis for getting Fiat Scotland a stand at the show.
It was a larger show than I expected, but as there's NO other Car Shows in Ayrshire, then this was a supprise to see how well attended it was.

Only thing that annoyed me was the A71 being shut & me not checking online before hand, otherwise I would have suggested just going straight down the A77 while the roadworks are off.

I definitely feel that we should attend again next year.

Was there 2 years ago and was absolutely fantastic, great drifters and a great atmosphere. I was thinking moreso along the lines of the BTCC though if anyone's interested in that :)

Hi guys, was great to see all the cars on Sunday. Just sorry I had to leave so soon.

Next year the car should be in a reasonable show condition and will hopefully get a chance to join you.

It was good to meet you for the brief moment you were around.

*Hopefully* next year I'll make it to more than 1 meet....... just have to see how things pan out.
