General Weird idea..

OK, this is a really weird idea I just had.. but:

What mods would have to be made to make 17 inch wheels fit?

How much material would have to be cut away (if possible at all)? And would it still be legal?

Ok i know this post i really old but. I was looking through all posts looking for info for the faq and noticed this one, yes it is possible(i just compared a 17" rim i have to the hole but it will need lots of shimming and material removed from the inside of the arch(maybe wide arches). Not considering i doubt any panda would climb a hill with 17" wheels on it.

Yeah 17" should fit,but i wouldnt bother. Its alot of work, and woudnt look very good as you would be able to lower it. Another point is you would be able to carry passengers. I've got 15s on and they are a little too big. mind you if you went for 17's you can lower profile tyres but its gonna be damn expensive.
