Morning good people. Long time not see :)

I still have a spare 32ICEV from the carbs I bought from Germany. I’ll dig it out tomorrow and take some pictures and post them up.

I can’t remember the layout exactly but from the pic above it looks like one of the water supply / return lines used to heat the carb to prevent icing. It not having a vacuum advance is quite probable. The 903cc Mk1 that went to Istanbul didn’t have one and I was told by Fiat that this was normal on the very early engines. It worked fine with only a slight popping on the over run.

Another port of call for information and technical support is WEBCON. These guys are very helpful by email, a bit slow (24hr’ish turn around but happy to help and point people in the right direction) http://www.webcon.co.uk/

The pic of the box of carbs, https://www.fiatforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23914&d=1171023356 shows the left side of the carbs and may help you pinpoint what you have there. But I'll get a better set of pics tomorrow.

I'll also get in touch with Sarah who has the car now and ask her to take a pic of the carb as it is installed. The only picture I have is the one on this post, https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/104007-mk1-progress-4.html You can see the fuel supply and return on the left and the two heater hot water supply pipes on the right. The only other pipe is the brown'ish plastic emerging from the back. This went back up to the crank case re-circulation pipe.

I just had a quick look on the computer and there are a few other pics of the MK1's engine that may help compare the layout.

The more sharp eyed amongst you will notice one of the Germanic modifications on the fuel line. (It also has 7 series recoil seat belts and shortly before it went ti Istanbul it had a M30 3.5 coil pack fitted amongst other slight touches :) )

These are the 4 sides of the 32ICEV I have here.

Can you indicate on the picture which output your hose is comiong from or take a picture of your setup so we can see more clearly the situation you have there.

From that it should be pretty simple to be definative about what goes where.

I can't see it causing any issues unless it's sucking in air, just make sure the blanking pipe is well sealed. Also if you have the Co2 tested it will show any iregularities.

Just make sure the timing is spot on and the Co levels perfect and it will be at it's very best.
