Hi, I have got an issue with my 2007 Doblo and basically, I think the ECU has forgotten the key, now, I am wanting to know what the best route is for fixing this, is it that I just get the key recorded or would a Virgin ECU fix the issue.

Symptoms
I turn the key to Ign1 and the dash lights up and all the lights do as they should apart from the EML (which just doesn't illuminate at all) and the Immobilizer (comes on and stays on)
I can NOT hear the fuel pump prime and I have no fuel pressure at the rail.

Also, I can not get any OBD app to connect to the ECU, they all just say Error, no communication.

I turn the key to Ign2 and the engine spines over but does not start as expected

This all started after I have rebuilt the engine, the battery and ECU were off the car for around 2 months so I assume it's that, that has caused this issue.

I have asked in the Doblo section but it's time to ask here.

PS, I have checked and cleaned all grounds and have tried multiple ways of grounding the ECU direct to the battery and none of it has made any difference.

Keys shouldn't be lost because 2 month off.
Seems it comes from some wiring issue because engine change.
If connection to engine ecu is impossible, then you should verify engine ecu out car on bench, connect and try diagnostic. If it works then you need to verify car wiring.
