imagine the stone chips though! and would it be easy to scratch?

What about stone chips? It wont affect the film the same way as it does paint. Even if it does you just pull it off and replace.

Actually protects the paintwork from stone chips, and yes is hard wearing I have done nearly 20k in the abarth in the last lear and bit and there is only a couple off chips on the bumper and thats it.
