Bravo (Classic) Van with a difference!!!.

Introduction

Heres the replacement for my highly abused yet extremely reliable Bravo.... Another Bravo (y) I'm moving up a year here :D Not going to be bitten like the last time, this is going to have a strip down and re-rustproof with a few bits to be thrown in too (copper lines all round are in the plans). Most importantly, this car is going to be converted to a van and painted black with some "toys" installed... More pics soon! :)

did everyone look at you while you took that photo, in all that traffic ? ;) oh and a quick question...you know your alfa seats, im sure youve been asked alot of times, but are the holes in the same place on the rails as the bravo ones, especially at the back of the rail, where it screws in horizontally ? :slayer:

Nah not really they kind of know me and that van there ;) although it would still be frowned upon by some...

As for the Alfa seats the rails, guiding bits and holes are identical to the Bravo seats (y)

id say he was getting strange looks from the people on that bus.

Where abouts was that, Derry?

That was High street in Portadown, I was parked in front of Subway :p

People on the bus didn't pass much remarks though :) I've been to many other places where the people have been much less than friendly mind you...!

The van has racked up over 850 miles this week, never broke into a sweat (y)

Apart from the exhaust losing a bolt at the down pipe after scraping off a subsiding road, nothing major happened at all (even the very bumpiest back roads couldn't upset it :D) I'm going to have to clean the underneath, its caked with muck, I don't know how I'm going to do that...!

Wire brush :( only best way to remove road Grime :(
Then a possible pressure wash to "clean" it more
But i'd be wanting to Seal it up also

ziggy

The slight breezes and drizzle we've been having over here have cleaned alot of the big stuff under the car  Still though, it does need a full going over when its off the road over the winter months...

Now I meant to to an update with all sorts of lovely pictures of the car in random places around Ireland :) However, every time I went to take a pic it was either lashing down or in a very inappropriate manner. For example, I went to take a picture here but the occupants of the house behind didn't look impressed, so I hurried away fast...

Oh my I do ramble on sometimes

So what have I got to update? Well, I did notice that part of my splash guard (detachable piece) has been sheared clean off the car  what's baffling is its torn the metal that its screwed to. Plastic shearing metal

Also, doing a 23 point turn in a narrow road resulted in me backing the car into a high ditch :bang: no damage, the exhaust hangs a wee bit low though. If it were an expensive car, think I'd get away with no damage...?

Pictures in due time :)

This van don't stay clean for long! :p

Over here, we have been having quite dreary, miserable, drizzly crap weather. So for no reason I decided to drive through some of Meath's worst roads

It may be straight, but very, very bumpy. Sudden rises and dips

I'll let the picture speak here...

And a bit further down...

Slight colour conditioning for effect.... ;)

This county is supposed to have some of the best roads in the country

Now, earlier today, re-insured for the year :woot:

Later on the motorway, the car was all over the shop. Rear arm gone :bang:

Other bits and bobs are crying for attention too. My light got flooded and the full beams stayed on. Wipers playing up too. Thanks rain

The fester is taking over just in time so... :spin:

Keep watching... ;)

A bit of time t tighten a few bits and bobs :)

My relay problem, coolant, brake fluid, oil and washer stuff seen to and sorted :) Slam panel cleaned up :)

Now to a more sinister problem, sticky caliper...

Stupid lucas crap! :bang:

To take it off, hold the 15mm nut on the slider and loosen the outside wit a 13mm spanner

Out the pads go :)

Lack of photos as my fingers, arms and back playing up, was working on 5 different vehicles today and at least 20 wheels!!!

Stay tuned, it's coming off the road soon

To make it better... ;)
