Welcome to the forum Saku!!!

I’m glad you found us. Your website brings a whole new meaning to the word useless (LOL). (y) That is one clean looking Uno turbo you have there!!!

I’ve saved watching your videos to last.

Regards,
Louie.

hey saku

already found your website. had it on my "favorites" pages for ages. totally love your uno turbo, with all those very special modifications like relocating the turbo.

ive got many questions to ask you about it. and i see you have a 3" exhaust system too. could you make me one? for money? and post it over too me as i'm really struggling to find one here in the uk!

Hi Dunc,

I' really flattered about your interest, thank you. :)

I know it's very hard to make 3" exhaust to Uno because of the limited space.
I am not such a good welder as you can see from the seams also. Making the 3 inch exhaust took me a long time. After welding one part I had to fit the exhaust back in place and figure out how I would do the next part.

I do things to my car, but as I'm so slow (time limited) I'm not making any parts to other people (not a professional). I don't even have any special machinery in my garage. I bet you can get help from one your local garages. At least they should know some contacts.

Cheers, Saku

have a look at my restoration thread https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=32003 to see how mines looking at the moment. as you'll see its in alot of bits! :D
having a 3" exhaust, is it really loud? and did you notice any difference to the performance when you fitted it?

Very familiar looking photos from Uno and the rust problems :D
Also impressive list of coming changes you have (y)

Same time I changed the exhaust from 2.5" to 3" I made many other changes to engine and turbo also so it is difficult to say if it made any difference. At least it is louder than the old 2.5" one :p

If you drive nicely the car takes about 9L/100km. Driving flat out is another thing.

Saku - unfortunately, I can't get your website to work
I'm really looking forward to seeing it!

puttekula, "How much gasoline does it take?" - the answer (in my experience) is "not much, especially considering the performance on tap!"

Some cars like my FIAT 126 may have been slightly more economical in terms of the numbers, but my 'gut feeling' is that my Uno Turbo is an immensely economical car... it uses no more fuel than my Uno 60 did, yet it has a LOT more performance... (double the speed of the 126...) a car like my Alfa 164 has similar performance, but no matter how you drive, it uses lots of fuel (20mpg).

I've measured my Uno Turbo on a good trip, and it was 41mpg... considering the speeds possible, I think that's fantastic (even if an Uno 45 was to do 50mpg in the same circumstances, I'd rather have the economy of the Turbo and have the performance as well!)
