I was wondering if anyone could recomend a product to apply to bare metal to prevent it from rusting? somethign that could then be painted over, but mainly as a very good protective coating.
is there ones you can do yourself, or better to get done pro? have read about waxoyl etc but has any one had any experience of these?

Thanks. :)

that seems really interesting, thanks.

theres so many to choose from out there, how do i know which one will provode the best long term protection :(

you must remove all rust, can get rust eaters from motor factors but its best to cut it out and replace metal, get a wire brush that fits on a grinder a hand one will take weeks.

i use the brush on underseal with added waxoil you can get it on nice n thick then so stones bounce off instead of chipping it off
