Technical Uconnect 5 navigation announcements mutes Telephone or Radio

Hello, I'm new here in the forum and I have a question. Is it normal for the radio or telephone to be muted when a navigation announcement is made? You can't actually make a phone call when navigation is activated. With every announcement the phone conversation is muted.

It makes sense to mute anything to give directions or you might drive past your turn whilst on a call, though I'd assume it only mutes whilst it's speaking?

My 500X does this.. if Moira is talking, the radio volume is reduced, but then restored to the original volume when she's done.

I haven't tried to make a phone call through the UConnect but I'd imagine that gets muted too.

While Moira is talking, the volume buttons on the steering wheel can be used to change her volume, without affecting the radio volume. When she stops talking, the volume buttons revert to changing the radio volume.

Yes. The telephone is muted during the announcement. The other party thinks that I have hung up and ends the conversation. that is very annoying.
