Hi!

I am the relatively new owner of a 1967 Fiat 500F. I've read a load of threads on how to remove the transmission drain bolt and I found there are female-to-female 1/2 inch socket adapters that do a fine job of removing the bolt. Certainly much easier than the next 20 minutes of my life spent pouring oil down a tube connected to a funnel. I'll use a syringe next time 😆

The one attached is a "Connex" COXT570310.

Hope this is useful!

Thankyou for the information on that adapter---very interesting. The reason that I use the "tube and funnel" trick to re-fill the gearbox is that it means I don't need to have the car so high on stands that I can comfortably slide uder it and then struggle with the syringe. At my age it is not the getting down that is the problem---it is the getting back up!
