Care to enlighten me!?

Mechanical fuel pump and water pump are gash and easily swapped for electric versions. Also contact points although very simple in design can need lots of attention, but points system can be swapped for electronic ignition which is pretty much fit and forget.

I miss my BIS so much the handling of my sei has nothing in comparison, except mine rusted front offside and rear near side.. so when i went around a corner at speed i could literally feel the bugger twisting!! :slayer:

Have you had a good look underneath? also have a ganders at your king pins

Yes underneath is caked in wax oil, has been from new so there's no rust anywhere. Will check the kingpins tonight, think one was replaced in the last MOT.

Had a go with the SRP on the paint. Better than it was (less swirly/smeary) but still flat and faded when you catch it in the light. Did the bonnet 3 times. It's actually not that bad now, think i can live with it and hopefully it won't get worse as it's under cover!

If anybody is the North Wales area and just happen to have a machine buffer and some polish, pop over for a panad (cuppa in Welsh!) if you want!

3 or 4 coats of this MUR will make it like glass
Iv done about 5 on my cinquecento now, its so addictive it looks alittle better each time, its amazing.

No updates on the BIS, had her a month now, still not insured (think that's impossible) paint is a little better after multiple coats of AG SRP so she's sat under cover for now until i get her insured.

Turns out all the quotes i've been getting were wrong, i'd been putting 3 years NCD without realising you can only have that on 1 car! So a 21 year old 704cc Fiat with 26 HP is going to be more to insure than my £15,000 Abarth with 135 BHP. Makes sense i suppose.....(NOT!)

Imagine how it was for me to insure my old 126 at 17

£700 while i was learning in it, then paid off the extra when i passed... probably worked out at a grand for the 704cc beast

Have you spoken to your current insurers? Some places will 'mirror' your existing policy onto a 2nd car, allowing you to have the NCD applied to that one as well. Either that, or try Admiral Multicar and see if that works.

Yep Admiral, my current insurer wanted £350 on a multicar policy and £400 on a separate one! Think i will wait until next year, the Abarth will keep my amused for now

Just took the 126 for a blast up the road! Man this thing is hilarious! I can't help but laugh when i drive it, couldn't resist shouting "power" in a Jezza voice as i floored it up a steep hill. I must look very comical squeezed inside! She drove well though, no knocks or funny noises, only bad thing was that she pulled to the left under heavy braking. Bags of character though, a different fun to the Abarth! Here are a few pics i did, only a short trip so sorry about the rather poor scenery.

Jesus Christ! The funniest thing just happened in the 126, was driving along, the engine went a little quiet, then suddenly BANG! a backfire loud enough to put a hand grenade to shame! It was louder than the ones i get in the Abarth 500! Just Happened to be filming at the time, here's the video!

So i decided to give the engine a bit of a scrub. It may have only done 15,000 miles, but it's got 21 years worth of dust on it! I think it looks amazing! Still a bit of scrubbing to do on the engine block itself, the grease has gone but there's a bit of dark staining still present. Anybody recommend a good engine cleaner? I could just paint the dirty bits i guess...
