yep was there Monday, swapped my bonnet as the bit that goes in the catch had broke off mine

well the brackets that attach the car to the seats
so the catches attached to the car on either side and the hinge in the middle

Finally managed to escape London and took a trip to the scrap yard in Kelvedon today - Those of you in Essex may have been overtaken @ 95mph by mandapanda (the mini Hummer of Sarf London). The yard really is hidden behind a farm out in the sticks
Anyway, thought you would like to know that they only have 1 Panda left Its a Orangy/Red Fizz on I think a 'K' plate. Doors shot, but some panels, glass and interior remain - along with a complete parcel shelf albeit with speaker holes already in.
The guy's there are really helpful and nothing seems to much trouble for them. When was the last time you were shown to the car you were after - and they then came back later to see if we needed anything.
It's a great drive out there - just mind all the animals everywhere.
Didn't buy anything - but managed to find another Panda @ Maybelles in Dagenham on the A13. It's going to the crusher next week . However, I have managed to salvage a very good condition passengers door that is now on e-bay . Was that a good call or what!
It was simply too good to be crushed and I know these are hard to find without the usual rust problems.
If anyone is interested, let me know. The auction can be ended early if any fellow panda maniac would like it. I'm not asking the earth for it - just my money back!

Hello all
just got back from the nicest little breakers (Keveldon Autos) and they have crushed all there Pandas.
Seems a bit of a strange thing to do as the guy admitted they are getting rare now, but then I don't run a breakers so what do I know.
Will give them a call and see if they get any more in. At present is a waste of a trip in to the stix.

They have a Selecta (minus the injector housing which I have if you need it)
It is a funny affair there, you aren't allowed near the cars without a breaker person holding your hand and they don't let you climb over the cars.
But they are friendly as breakers go and fairly reasonable.

the orange one still there isnt it? the crushed ones was stripped of all the good bits. they cant keep them for 2 long as they are small and we only want to pay few quid for panda bits, the pandas are taking up space where cars where bits sell for a lot on money can go. they better than a lot of breakers most dont even keep them for 5 minutes they go in the gate and straight into the crusher
ive not seen the selector when did that go in?
oh and every one gets taken around untill they get to know you thats because of some people going there spending £5 and climbing on a bonnet worth £50 and denting it
some one pinched a punto key the other day, it had a remote locking thob on it, i wanted that and its reciver, not only did it make the bit i wanted useless but if some one needs lock set and ecu for a punto 1.6 then they cant use it because some one has took the key, why some one would want just take a random key i have no idea
