Am guessing you didnt need the hire car then ? Spotted on a35 a fiat 500 looking much like murphio just inside devon border. Hope it was you anyway as i gave you a quick flash (lights and a thumbs up in blue renault trafic. Maybe someone is wondering who the hell is flashing them if it wasnt you !!

It was me and I did notice that. Currently at Eden Project....what an enormous distance from civilisation. Car going well despite numerous traffic jams and diversions. How on earth do people cope with the south of England.... it's gridlocked!

nahhhh you're driving a Classic Fiat 500, unreliable, non starting, car that is unable to travel more than 5 miles.....
you must have built replicas and have had them transported all over the UK to give the impression of you driving the car

You are right about the gridlock ! Did you not notice the no vacancies sign as you entered cornwall? Be sure to drop in for a cuppa if you come back this way as you were just past my house when i saw you. Just promise not to laugh at how little my 'restoration ' has moved on

Thanks for the kind invite Pete, but we sped home to my brother's near Chichester....280 miles (with deliberate diversions)! We love Cornish food and friendliness and will be back (but without a car).!!!
