Ok, I know it's only August...but time to start thinking about the Christmas meet again.

I'd like to keep things relatively familiar, so thinking the last weekend in November - and, allowing for an improvement in the weather - I'd like to keep this in Perth for one more year at least.

This time though, I'd like to suggest those of us staying over set up base at the new Travelodge down by the river - Travelodge Perth Central

As always, there'll be some form of meal and entertainment - and if we do set up at this new Travelodge we're literally a five minute walk away from town - meaning less hassle for all!

So yeh, who's in for this years Christmas meet?

I love the McD next to the orginial travel lodge :(

Given we'll be in town I assume there'll be a host of McD's, BK's and others that'll happily hand over genuine imitation food for a few quid :p

And last year was an adventure, was going to start work on some sort of ski/half track arrangement for the Stilo just in case

Right word of WARNING here folks.
Travelodge Perth Central has Parking on the street, round the corner from the enterance.
Now I know getting out of Travelodge broxden Junction was a nightmare but.... it has more secure parking & is bigger.
Ok yes Travelodge Perth Central is closer to Wetherspoons & the Pubs, but it comes at a price.

What would you rather
1) Broxden Junction Travelodge with onsite parking, then sharing a Taxi or two to get us into Perth Town Centre
2) Perth Central Travelodge, which is nearer to Perth Town Center but... it does NOT have onsite Parking & parking spaces are first come first served.

Personally I'd rather use the Travelodge at Broxden Junction again, simply becasue:
1) It's easier to get to (just of the Motorway)
2) It's larger (3 floors)
3) It has Onsite Parking.

Agree that is a consideration Andi, especially since it's a car meet :D

There's another option as well I think - park the cars at Broxden or similar and for those staying in town, we taxi/bus it in. That way if we're out for a meal/night out we're basically right near the hotel and can get back to the cars the next day. Hell, Ming could even still get his preferred McD's brekkie

A Macdonalds brekkie is not top of my list of priorities!!

However, I intend to be there

I think it depends on what the plan is for the Saturday and therefore what sort of time we are going be arriving at the hotel.

Cheers

D

Ditto with the mcd's. If we do set up base in the town travelodge then weatherspoons is literally on the other side of the bridge.

And Saturday plans are being formed. Open to suggestions as always, but we'll get something sorted!

Ha ha nice spot Katie, I didn't look as usual before I posted....
You coming to this Katie??

Tis currently the plan Andi. Course plans and me don't always work out how I'd like them to but hopefully the main obstruction will be sorted by then and I'll be free to stick with things for once.

Fingers crossed you come then....
Travelodge Broxden Junction is a doddle for everyone to get to, straight of the A9 & A90.

New car will be one day old when this meet is on...............................

YOU INCONSIDERATE BASTIDS!!!
