T135 Carado - Fiat Ducato Alternator & Battery issues

Hello, I'm happy to have joined this forum.
I have a 2020 Carado T135 on a Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet chassis. The starter wouldn't engage recently and it turned out the battery was flat, the result of it not charging and the assumption was tat the Alternator. My mechanic changed the Alternator, but it still won't charge even with the new alternator fitted.
He has tested the battery which is ok, and also checked the earth strap. My mechanic is at a loss, so if anyone has any knowledge that could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Has the mechanic checked for errors on the MultiEcuScan? or at least a generic error codes reader?

As far as I remember from other threads, it's already a smart alternator, so it needs additionnal information to charge. The question is which ones and from what. Perhaps MES would be helpful.

What is the dash pannel battery light condition? Ignition off ? On? Engine running?

Has the main power wire to the alternator been proven to be intact? Able to carry high current?
