Hi All - me again
. I have been somewhat concerned of late just how high the temperature gets at the distributor which is running a powerspark module. I have gone to some lengths to thermal lag the distributor but have decided to revert back to a points/ condenser setup.
The good thing is my coil on my RHD 66 500F is located on the left hand side of the engine bay which is a good thing moving the coil away from direct thermostat flap and exhaust heat.
I have ordered a condenser from swiftune with the flying leads and would appreciate your opinion on whether to co-locate it with the coil or are there any advantages to still locate it close to the distributor connecting to the insulated bolt on the distributor body and then to earth
Many thanks as always
Barry
