Strange squeak / clunk like noises from brakes/suspension when first moving off and turning from stationary, or reversing and turning from stationary.
When actually in motion on the road everything is fine (ie quiet and smooth and 'tight') whether moving slow or fast or doing tight turning in corners or when slowly bouncing over rough roads.
Similarly when jacked up and examing things and rotating/shaking wheels, all seems (but the suspension is in a fully extended state then).
It sounds like the noise you would get from a sticking brake pad / shoe or sticking coil spring or suspension component, or a loose strut or link flapping about, or really worn rubber bush, or the coil spring 'reseating' itself, but strange its ONLY from stationary and is immediately fine after that.
And there is no sign of anything sticking or loose or misplaced when I examine it.
And didnt used to make any significant unexpected noises.
The recent heat might be making the effect and noise worse than normal.
Will try to listen to see if any particular corner next time the daughter reverses it into the drive (as noise consistently happens then).
(which again implies the change in direction of the forces acting on the components is relevant?)
Just asking if anyone else noticed or experienced anything similar?
