Hi everyone! Sorry if I've missed a preexisting post about this - any info I have found has been very lacking.

I've got a 2012 Panda Pop 1.2 and want to upgrade the stereo system a bit. I've already installed a new head unit (Pioneer MVH-330DAB) and now am onto the speakers and a sub. The sub I've got needs to be connected directly to the battery and it's going to be in the boot hence I've got to run the cable right down the inside of the vehicle. I've been doing some research on where to pass the power cable through the firewall and can't really find much - I read somewhere that if you remove the wipers there is a hole with a rubber gromet through which there are already a few cables that I could make slightly larger to allow for the new cable but I don't want to go pulling bits off until I know that I will definitely be able to find something there - this is not something that I have done before as this is my first car.

If anyone has any pointers, that would be fantastic! Thank you very much :)

Does the sub really need to be connected directly to the battery? It would be much easier to get your supply from the fuseboard behind the glovebox. Perhaps you should try a temporary connection to the fusebox and see how it sounds? Might save you a lot of trouble. Unless it is supplied with huge power leads in which case you will have to find a route through which won’t be easy…

Find a tow bar installation guide; typically these need a live supply. I have fitted one to my 4x4 TA the route is described in the Westphalia fitting instructions (which I don't have to hand). I think there maybe something in the Guides on this forum??

There is a gommet in the n/s wheel arch behind the liner. This is up behind the fuse box. My towing wires go through this as per their fitting instructions. You need to shift the wheel arch liner but its only 3 or 4 screws and a little pulling and pushing. I have a wire feeing rod which made the insertion into the car easy. Rest of the wire just runs underthe edge of the carpet. Handle cill finishers gently!!! See downloads Panda 2012+
