It's a late 81.... Anybody know of an older one? Going by Simons post there's only 300 Mk1 left in the UK now and as they ran from 1980 to 85 there couldn't be many older than this one?

a couple of years ago i tried to trace any older than mine NET 104X but failed if you are struggling for any parts i know of another x reg in a scrapyard same colour as yours not much will be of use as it has been there since the early 1990's that i know of might be some trim or glass though.

I think I need a rear inner headcloth if they made one for the MK1 Apparently it came in 2 parts, not one full one.

must be the day for it, i have just got back from a 570 mile trip to fetch my new project custards cinquecento turbo we had to put it on the dolly backwards and somewhere on the a1 we lost the windscreen!

See above. Problem with rare wheels hence being towed And that fact it broken into....twice.

as applesei said its well trashed after being broken into twice and vandalised they even stood on the bonnet to kick the screen in its a non runner at the moment as it is partly stripped but being the first van aaken turbo i thought it would make a nice little project bit different to the 4x4 panda's i keep doing.

I'd like to say that it was very kind of Alan to bring the wee Panda so far. Having driven from Troon to Newcastle, I know it's quite a distance to be towing.

And as for Istanbul, I don't know why Jim thinks that you need a back-up car when Alan's Willie will be going. Willie will save the day!

As regards any older Pandas, after a vehicle enquiry on the DVLA website using reg no. and make;

NJB 525X First registered 25/11/1981

KYO 461X (which belongs to Sam, whom Alan's friend bought the Mk1 Seat Panda for Istanbul from) First registered 03/09/1981

So there is at least one older.

Well that's Wee gem now tucked up in the garage http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o289/maranellohouse/weegemingarage1.jpg I was planning on a running restoration for him but having had a good look round him, I may end up doing the same kind of restoration as I'm doing on the 127. I cancelled the mot for him as there is no way he will pass without a lot of work.

Today has been a good day. A couple of good friends (Chris and Trevor) who dabble in Fiat parts have got me a genuine drivers door skin, drivers side rear panel, passenger front wing, front and rear bumpers, and a full exhaust.
These are all the major bits I needed to sort the car.
