Hi all,
I think my TA has a Start&Stop problem. Frequently when I come to a stop with the car in neutral and the clutch up, the engine doesn't stop. It is intermittent as sometimes it does stop, but I can't work out a pattern. I've read the manual, and all of the conditions that prevent start&stop stopping the engine are not there (engine warm, 10 degrees outside temp, heated window off, wipers off, doors shut, seat belts fastened) but still the engine runs. There are no error lights and the system hasn't been disabled. Very occasionally when the engine does stop, it will restart itself without me putting my foot on the clutch. Again, this is by design but only if one of the factors that should prevent the motor stopping in the first place comes about during a stop, like turning on the heated rear screen. The car is currently at a Fiat dealer and is behaving itself, and there are no stored errors so they are going to give it back unchanged.
It's not my imagination and I think it must be a sensor giving incorrect values. Has anyone seen anything similar or have any ideas?
Cheers, Nick
