Unless like myself you find the orange light in the speedo F**k OFF annoying!!!!!Frankly, if my S/S ever fails to work, and a new battery doesn't solve it, I'll just turn it off permanently and forget it.

My orange light has been glowing like the baleful eye of Sauron for so many years I don't even 'see' it any more - in fact if it's not there in my peripheral vision I have the uncomfortable feeling that something's amiss.Unless like myself you find the orange light in the speedo F**k OFF annoying!!!!!
All I can add is mine seems to be temp related and that we should just forget we have SS .. when I kicks in turn the dam thing off!

it may be the replacement sensor is faulty too, I will see if can get my fluke meter on the sensor when it is connected but I think it may be a very small voltage

I used electrical contact cleaner on the connector of the sensor and at the ECU connector. That seems to have made the difference. It has worked the last couple of weeks. The voltage signal from the sensor is very small and a bit of extra resistance on dirty contacts seems to have effected it working.
