Hi...I've got 2003 stilo and the remote key stopped working so I bought new battery and it's still not having it. I can lock and unlock manually. I've had it 9 yrs and love it but so many things are starting to go wrong :-( is there anything I can do or will I have to be stung at a garage? Looked in manual and it says about a code card, but didnt get one when I bought...
Cheers in advance
Hi, I Read About Your Key Fob Not Working.
I Have A Fiat Stilo 16v Dynamic 2003, and I Have Been Having The Same Problems, To Begin With These Where Temporary Problems With Message Error Codes. The Car Would Stop And Start Straight Away.
Then Gradually Over Time They Became More Frequent, The Car Turned Over But Would Not Start. Short Periods To Begin With, Then Longer Periods Of Standing Still Waiting For The AA.
Last Week, I Broke Down About 4 Miles Away. I Kept Trying To Turn It Over But It Would Not Start.
I Waited 3 and A Half Hours For The AA To Show Up.
He Tried Everything To Get It Started, Checked Everything, Then He Came To The Conclusion That The Battery Operated Key Fob Had Gone Flat. After All I have Had The Car For 21 Years.
Then He Said That Because Of The Faulty Battery Powered Key Fob The Fob Isn't Sending The Right Signals To The Car To Start. Would I Have Another Key. I Said Yes It Is Not Battery Operated And It Is At Home.
He Brought Me And My Car Home. I Went Indoors And Got My Other Key, (Which
I Quote Is A Standard Spare Key That Is Not Battery Operated).
We Turned The Car Over, And It Started First Time And Has Been Doing That Ever Since.
I Have Been On Long Journeys And The Car Is Now Reliable, it Has Taken All The Worry Away. So I Can Do All My Essential Journeys Without The Worry Of It Breaking Down.
I Hope That This Can Resolve Your problem.
