only the JTD's have oil level sensors that come up when starting the car i think :chin:

On the Arbarth display between the speedo and rev counter there is the option to display an LCD version of an oil temp and oil pressure gauges ..... but I can't understand the way they work.....totally unclear (to me) what they are saying......

The left one is oil pressure - normally, all 6 bars are full up [unlike the picture, due to engine being off] although it may drop occassionally at idle.
The right one is the oil temperature - I tend to find it settles in the middle, so 3 left bars full, 3 right bars empty.

And the JTD/Mutlijet lost the feature during the 2004 facelift (according to the manual), so my 2005 Multijet don't have it

Dont you have the option to set that speed limiter to a speed of your choice?? think i can in the "my car" options.
Not really a 'hidden feature' as it's blatently obvious, but i like the fact that if you've been driving in the rain with the wipers on, when you come to park and put it in reverse, the rear wiper comes on untill you take it out of reverse.

Hidden features? Well, there's the secret menus that the car has for starters. Maybe I should start a "Did you know?" thread.
For example, did you know that when you press the footbrake, the 3rd centre light will come on before the other two? More noticable in the older Stilo's than the newer ones (as updated Body Computers got faster).
Did you know, that with your parking lights on, moving the indicator stalk to the left or right positions will turn off that side's sidelights?
Did you know, that if communications between the rain/light sensor are lost, the car engages default mode, blocks the headlights ON and reverts to a standard intermittent wiper program?
Did you know, if your car is in reverse and you have reversing sensors, you can actually hear the ultrasound waves being emitted?
Did you know, that if your remote batteries run low, the car will tell you to change them?
Can't think of anymore, will let you know if I do.

.Maybe not a hidden feature as such - but I believe the air temperature sensor is on the underside of the drivers door mirror..........

Not to mention the "Secret" menus sticky with "Secret" being the operative word - as they are NOT in the book!
You need the Dynamic spec to have those.got an 03 jtd active ...it doesnt have a drawer under the seat

Just found out the rear arm rest opens up and reveals a hidden compartment inside... and no i dont mean the boot lol it opens up just like the front armrest and is held shut via magnets. Other than the cup holders i thought id found all the hidden features.

When reversing i have preset my passenger mirror to angle right down too kerb so i don't scuff my alloys lol my wife refuses to drive my car even though she insured says there are too many buttons on it ( more than space shuttle she said) i replied when you been in space shuttle then he he,Must have been an ex boyfriend she replied
Nope, mines a 1.6 active and has the underseat draw. I think it was standard with earlier models and dropped from lower spec cars at a latter date.
The feature i like is when u remove your key the interiour light comes on even with the door shut.
Another feature which i activated when i got the car was the auto door lock when pulling away. Nice anti jacking device.
Thing i hate is the mp3 player comes on everytime you start, you can set it to ignore ignition but i know the wife would leave it on.
now what isnt a feature but i thing very thoughtful, is when you use the windscreen washer (pulling the wiper stalk) it'll do 3 wipes, then another one after a few seconds. sorts out the 'dribbles' so you dont have to.

The folding front passenger seat doubles up as a really good changing table for the baby when out and about. Also the clips in the spare wheel bay designed to hold a warning triangle.
