Surely the Guilietta is the Bravo's competition? I had a Punto Evo Sporting for two years before the Bravo and wish I still had it. Nicely put together (it didn't rattle like the Bravo), the chassis setup was a much better balance for British B roads than the Bravo sport and the multiair engine was great. I'd like to know how the Guilietta drives compared to the Bravo.

I drove one as a courtesy car. Lovely car but I honestly prefer my Bravo simply because it is better suited to me and the driving I do, not because I think it is a better car because if you were to compare each the Giulietta would be considered a better car by the majority of people, after all it is newer and probably considered more luxurious. The one I drove was a 1.6 JTD with 103hp. The car was pleasing to the eye but wasn't anywhere near as good to drive as I had anticipated, mainly due to the lack of power it had. In my opinion if you buy such a beautiful car then it at least needs to perform - I suspect the 2.0 JTD is a much better choice or the Turbo Petrol versions. But even the 2.0 will just be similar the Bravo just with slightly more power. It still doesn't sound as refined as some of the competition - but better than most!

I find my Bravo to be fantastic for long runs and my daily 50 mile commute. Comfy, quiet and very smooth consider it runs on 18 inch low profile tyres.

I also found the interior felt a little cramped in the Giulietta - again this is just my opinion. It was a nice place to be but felt a little tight.

The Giulietta is much more prestigious and a really nice car. With these types of car though, when owning my MiTo I always felt obliged to keep it spotless. It felt more like a weekend car that I didn't want to do loads of miles in. With the Bravo however it is just more a work horse which I keep clean and look after but it feels more like an every day kind of car in which I don't mind eating my lunch or getting the floor mats dirty!

It would be interesting to hear from someone who owns both...
